UPDATES on 2075 W. Archer Drive:



1) Pergola over the side porch by the garage door

2) Covered roof over the side porch off of the master bedroom

3) Landscaping work and mulch is continuing.

2014 updates:

New landscaping including shrubs, trees, rocks, water features rock and mulch with edging have been added along with an irrigation system.  The pool is mostly underground with an edge that comes above ground so that it is level with the back deck and has a nice bench to sit on or swim up to.  There is a newly added gate in the back yard just beside the pool (south end).

Upgrades in 2013: 

Entire house was repainted including the trim and walls.

New HVAC and duct work was installed for the front portion of the house that includes the furnace and the compressor (upstairs and downstairs-the downstairs portion covered includes the master bedroom, master bathroom (Jacuzzi bath room where the 2 sinks are and powder baths by the master bedroom), the entry, piano room, the front sitting room, the kitchen and laundry room, the dining room and the wet bar area.  The Lenox system that was installed has greatly increased the energy efficiency of the home and was installed by Air Control in Springdale.  The system has a warranty and it extremely easy to use.  There are controllers for it upstairs (in the sitting area) and downstairs in the piano room/entryway.

The glass tile around the fireplace was added.

Upgrades in 2011

New travertine stone tile was added to the front portion of the home including the master bedroom, the front living areas (from the front through the piano room), and the kitchen and breakfast area by the side door.

New Wood floors (hand scraped, distressed hickory) was added to the wet bar area, the great room and the dining room.

The cabinets were professionally refinished with oil based paint and a custom glaze. Glass tile was added as a backsplash around the new wet bar.  New trim was installed throughout most of the home including the crown molding and additional molding around all of the windows. 

The deck around the pool was added to the back deck that went straight across the back of the house.

The custom rock work in the back yard was also done in 2011 that covers the backyard after walking down from the deck on either side.  It was approximately 3 tons of rock.

Upgrades in 2010

               The pool was installed and the deck was added from the Hot Tub to the back fence. 

The additional fence was added to separate the master bedroom side yard from the main backyard for privacy.

The porch off of the master bedroom was added. 

The custom mantle was added over the fireplace in the great room.

Upgrades in 2009

The home addition was started. Part of the addition carried over into 2010.  This includes the master closet, the great room, the wet bar area, the upstairs closet and pool table area, the additional attic space for storage, the sitting/reading nook beside the pool table, and the indoor patio.  The entire home was wired for sound including the indoor patio and the inputs are located just behind the entertainment area.  Controls are in the Kitchen, Dining room, Wet-bar & indoor patio.  The surround sound is amazing.

Wet bar: The sink (with a strong disposal drain and push-button start) and appliances in the wet bar island (drawer dishwasher, warming drawer and ice-maker (the icemaker needs a new part) were installed and have been a great addition, especially for entertaining.  The cabinets for the wet bar area were completely custom made for the home.  

The indoor patio has glass velour windows that are wonderful in the spring and fall for letting the air circulate.  The room is also able to be heated and cooled during the summer and/or winter months.   The fireplaces in the Great Room and in the indoor patio are both wood burning. The one in the living room will heat the entire area and it is so nice to sit by.  The fireplace in the indoor patio is also very nice and has a blower that will activate when it is hot to push air out into the living area.  There is also gas in this room should someone ever want to make this a gas fireplace.  The natural gas outlet is currently hooked directly into the grill that is on the indoor living room.  The vent hood over the grill is also vented directly through the chimney that also vents the gas fireplace in the dining room.  The concrete on the outdoor fireplace was refinished in October of 2014.

The upstairs is where the area for the pool table that covers the wet bar area was added.  The addition of this, along with a closet and reading area in the window has added a great extra, private sitting area to the home.  The custom rod iron railing on both sides of the upstairs was very expensive and added an extra touch of finish out.   The additional walk in closet was added and the access door is in this area.  Also in this area is the energy efficient HVAC system that provides heating and cooling to the added areas of the home.  It is not actually necessary to use both systems at one time as the large system in the front of the house will heat and cool the entire home to a comfortable temperature in the summer and winter. 

The Hot Tub, glass tile and glass door steam shower with full body jets systems for the water shower, the ceramic tile flooring in the closet and porcelain tile in the bathroom were also added during the addition.  It is very relaxing to go for a swim or a soak in the hot tub and then be able to take a steam shower while having full body jets massage you.  The closet, which is larger than many bedrooms in most homes, has custom cabinets installed including shoe racks, shelves and 11 areas to hang clothing.  Two people can easily hold their entire summer and winter wardrobes in this closet. 


Upgrades in 2008

The 100% full oak staircase treads were added along with the custom railing and rod iron spindles.  This was also done in the area over the entry way.   Hardwood flooring was installed on the landing at the top of the stairs.

Also granite was added to the kitchen countertops and backsplash, around the fireplace in the dining room and in the powder bath off of the kitchen/laundry room.

Installed the fireplace upstairs-it is currently electric but is a full gas or wood unit.  The Gas line is directly behind the unit by the furnace/HVAC unit if someone wanted to have a full gas fireplace.  A chimney could easily be added if someone wanted to make it wood burning as it is near the top of the roof line already.  We have not done so because we just prefer the look of a fireplace for the ambiance.  An electric unit can heat when turned to that setting as the one currently in the fireplace will heat or only appear to be burning.
